Today was Pioneer Day and we just happened to be going to Pioneer Park. Wendy set it up and a bunch of us met up in Tustin for a change of scenery.
Here are the kids.... HEY! Where are the Brian girls?!?
It's nice to cool off with some water.
Uh... Oh! Owen is trapped.
Gotcha! Yep, all three were trying to get others wet.

Olive at 3 months
Olive is now 3 months old... she is such a doll.
She still LOVES to be swaddled and will sleep for hours in her bed like this. This girl is such a good sleeper - I can un-swaddle her, put her in the car seat, drive to pick up Paige, drive home, swaddle her back up and put her back in bed and she will continue to sleep like this. Seriously?!?
She is really sweet when she is awake too. The other morning I came home from the gym and she was laying on the bed. When I got to her she saw me and starts throwing her arms around and kicking her legs with excitement. So cute. When I'm nursing she stares up at my face and when she's done she just smile at me. Melts my heart. She chews on her fingers, coos, smiles and laughs. This girl has my heart!

The Surf is Up!
Well this is what we have been doing this summer. The kids have been surfing and having a blast doing it. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of Paige... she rides her board all by herself. She will paddle out with John and it is so cute watching them sit on their boards out in the water together waiting for waves. (It's hard for me to get photos because I'm usually under the umbrella with Olive)
John puts the boys on the front of his the long board and they paddle out. Hey! Put a life jacket on those kids!!!
Brock is our die hard. He is always telling John, "I go surfing with Daddy like Surf's Up!" He is so cute out there, he will tell John "more... more..." He loves riding the waves in.
Owen tends to be more nervous, but when he comes in he jumps up and down saying, "I did it! I went SURFING!!!"
These kids have such a good time with their dad at the beach - this has been a really fun Summer so far. We've been at the beach at least a few times a week. The hardest part is lugging ALL the stuff down to the sand. With 4 kids, 2 boards, umbrella, 2 chairs, sand toys, car seat (for Olive to sit), food, and towels... it's exhausting!

Olive's 2 Mo. Photos
We got Olive's pictures taken at 2 months of age... I wish I would have done it sooner - but with 4 kids it was hard to plan it. This worked out great though. My friend Lori's sister-in-law set up a tiny studio in Lori's garage and we took these. She is such a fatty! Love it!
Now it's deciding which ones to print and put in her room...

Underwater...
...cameras are fun!
Owen would smile but he wouldn't open his eyes.
Brock was practicing his surfing, I asked him to go underwater and he said no.
Owen has some mad dancing skills in the water...
Gosh, Summer is a good time to be a kid!

Paige in Camarillo
John's sister Nikki was gracious enough to have Paige up to her house again this summer along with 3 of her other cousins. This along with Nikki's 4 boys totaled 8 kids for about 4 days. Nikki really keeps them busy too - every day is planned with some excursion or fun activity. Paige had a blast too.
Went to the tide pools...
Here is Paige holding an octopus for the first time. She looks a little nervous ;)
They have cool caves up there for the kids to wander through...
More sea creatures to hold - seriously why don't we find these at our tide pools?
They went to the zoo...
They picked lemons for homemade lemonade...
They went to a local farm....
She was able to pick her own fruit and eat it... yum!
They also hit up the movies in the park, swam in the pool and played all day. Paige was lucky enough to stay up late and spend extra time with all her cousins. It really is great since she doesn't get to see her Camarillo cousins as much. She had such a good time. Nikki is one of a kind to take all these kids and plan such a fun time - one of these days I'll have my life in order to return the favor. Thanks Nikki - she loved it!

Happy Birthday Daddy!
We celebrated John's birthday on the 9th. Paige was out of town, so it was just the 5 of us. It wasn't much, cake and presents... but the boys enjoyed themselves. Happy Birthday Honey!

Big Bear on the 4th
Another 4th of July in Big Bear... so fun!
The kids loved going out on the boat... the boys preferred it to be a slow ride (good one).
John took Brock and Owen miniature golfing for the first time - and they loved it. Take note: we must do this again soon.
The best part about the trip is seeing the fireworks over the lake. We take a boat out and park it in the middle of the lake - it is absolutely beautiful. All the kids need life jackets - um... I think her cheeks were going to pop in this one. Yikes!
I like this photo because you can see the kids all staring up at the fireworks - it looks like the heavens were opening up.
All the kiddies!

Recital
So I've been trying to make this post since last week when she had her performance but my computers haven't been letting me. I had more pictures to upload, but it wouldn't let me do that either - so these are all I could do.
When I look at these photos it brings a tear to my eye for a couple of reasons. First, look at these dresses... so cute. Second, this will be Paige's last year in ballet. She says she hates it and it was a nightmare trying to drag her to practice each week. But by the look on her face you would never guess it - she just glowed as she performed. These two girls have taken 3 years together... so darling.
This picture just takes my breath away... all these girls were so big until they got up on this giant stage... then they looked so small.
Look at her face - I just don't believe her when she says she doesn't like ballet.
I took other photos of us after but this is the only one that would upload... I even had one with the red eye corrected and it wouldn't upload.
So bye bye to ballet (sniff...sniff) next year she is trying jazz - but I doubt she'll like that. Oh well, at least Olive still has a chance.
